  • Click on the Gmail notifier icon in the menu bar and hold down “both” the Command + Option keys.
  • While holding the keys, click on the “Preferences…” option in the menu.
  • You will now see Gmail notifier preferences setting windows with title “Default Editor – com.google.GmailNotifier”.
  • Enter the following string as the “Key” name:

  AutocheckInterval

  Enter a number for value. The number will be new mail checking interval in minutes.

  • Click on “Set” to save the setting.
  • Restart your Gmail notifier.
