You can create another folder, such as images (/Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/images), and save screenshot into it for better organization.
  • Start terminal application.
  • Type in the following command: (replace YOUR_USER_NAME with your real user name)
    defaults write com.apple.screencapture location /Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/
  • Follow by typing this command:

    • killall SystemUIServer

    Now the screenshot will be saved into your /Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/ folder.
    You can create another folder, such as images (/Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/images), and save screenshot into it for better organization.
