If you are using a version of Windows 7 that supports remote desktop (Professional, Business, and Ultimate versions support it) and you want to turn it on, here’s how you do that.
- From the Start menu, right-click My Computer and select Properties.
- Click on the Remote settings link (on the left side).
- Check the box next to Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer to enable remote desktop.
- If you want, in the Remote Desktop section further down, you can specify who can connect to your computer using remote desktop.
