How to Fix Incorrect App Icons on Apple iPhone 3.0+

After upgrading Apple iPhone to version 3 software you might start encountering problem with application icons. For some of the apps, the wrong icon was being displayed. Here is the step by step fix for this problem.

  1. Using your USB cable to connect your iPhone to your computer.
  2. Start up iTunes and select your iPhone in the Devices.
  3. Select Applications tab.
  4. Uncheck the applications that have the icons messed up.
  5. Sync your Apple iPhone.
  6. Return to the applications tab and verify the applications that you unchecked in step 4.
  7. Sync your Apple iPhone again.
  8. The correct icons should now be shown.
