  1. Right-click your uTorrent shortcut icon.
  2. Select Properties from the menu,
  3. Click on Compatibility tab. In this tab, check the box for “Run this program as an administrator”.
  4. Check the box for “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” (If you had Windows Vista, select it)
  5. In uTorrent application, select Preferences from the menu on the top.
  6. Open Advanced section.
  7. Select Disk Cache.
  8. Check the box for “Disable Windows caching of disk writes” and “Disable Windows caching of disk reads.”
  9. Click OK to save.
