  ORABPEL-05002 exception is most likely due to lack of memory in the JVM. You can try to adjust the memory size in opmn.xml file with the following steps:

  1. Shutdown your Oracle SOA suite.
  2. Edit $OAS_HOME/opmn/conf/opmn.xml and modify the java-options parameter in start-parameters settings for the process that includes the BPEL Manager (default is “oc4j_soa” process).
  3. Add “-Xmx1200m” (or whatever largest memory you want to assign to the java process) to java-options parameter. For example:

    <process-type id="oc4j_soa" module-id="OC4J" status="enabled">
      <module-data>
        <category id="start-parameters">
          <data id="java-options" value="-server -Xms128m -Xmx1200m />
        </category>

  4. Start SOA suite and check again. You might need to do this couple times to find the optimum memory setting.
