1.
Step 1
Start Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and open an existing PDF file from your documents.
2.
Step 2
Choose the “View” menu, point to “Toolbars” and click on “Comment & Markup.” If there is a checkmark already beside the words “Comment & Markup” then the toolbar is already open and you will need to locate it on your desktop. The “Comment & Markup” toolbar will appear on your desktop after the selection is clicked and the checkmark is added before the toolbar name.
3.
Step 3
Click on the title bar of the “Comment & Markup” toolbar and then drag it to the location where you would like it to reside as you work with the text edit tools. You are can leave it floating and place it wherever you would like to on your screen or you can drag it up to join your other toolbars at the top of the Acrobat screen.
4.
Step 4
Release the mouse to place the “Comment & Markup” toolbar once you are happy with its new location.
5.
Step 5
Locate the Text Edit tools on the “Comment & Markup” toolbar. It is the second button from the left called “Text Edits.” When it is clicked, the available Text Edit tools will be listed in the drop-down menu.
