Download and install Nero5
Step 1Download Nero5 from the link in the Resources section. This is shareware priced at $59.99 in 2009.
Step 2Double-click on the setup file to install Nero5.
Step 3Click on “Next” on the welcome page.
Step 4Click on “I accept the terms of the license agreement” and then click on “Next” on the license agreement page.
Step 5Enter the “User Name,” “Organization” and “Serial Number” on the customer information page and then click on “Next.”
Step 6Click on “Typical” on the setup type page and then click on “Next.”
Step 7Select the directory to install Nero in and then click on “Next.”
Step 8Verify the displayed installation information and then click on “Install.” Wait for the installation to complete and then restart your computer.
Create a Bootable CD
Step 1Insert a blank CD into the CD writer.
Step 2Go to “Start,” point to “All Programs,” point to “Ahead Nero” and then click on “Nero-Burning Rom.”
Step 3Select the CD writer that you wish to use to create the bootable CD from the list show. This is an optional step.
Step 4Point to “Data” option below “What would you like to burn,” and then click on “Bootable data disk.”
Step 5Click on the “Add” button in the “Disk Content” window.
Step 6Navigate to the place on your hard disk where files to be written on to the CD are stored.
Step 7Click on a file or folder one by one and then click on “Add.” Repeat this until all the files are added. When you have completed adding all the files, click on “Finished” and then click on “Next.”
Step 8Insert a bootable floppy disk in the floppy drive and then click on “Next.” If you do not have one, follow the instructions in the next section to create one.
Step 9Click in the “Disk Name:” text box and type a name for the CD. You can give any name.
Step 10Click on the “More” button and then click on the “Write” check box. Unselect all other check boxes.
Step 11Click on “Burn” to create the bootable CD.
Create a Bootable Floppy Disk
Step 1Insert a blank floppy disk into the floppy drive.
Step 2Click on “Start,” and then click on “My Computer.”
Step 3Right-click on the “3½ Floppy (A:)” icon and then click on “Format.”
Step 4Click on the “Create an MS-DOS startup disk” check box and then click on the “Start” button.
Step 5Click on “OK” in the “Warning:” dialog box and then wait for the process to complete.
