1.
Step 1
Start Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and open an existing PDF that contains at least one bookmark to which you want to change the location.

Step 2
Select the “Bookmarks” button on the “Navigation” pane on the left side of the Acrobat screen. It is the second button from the top. All the bookmarks at are in the open PDF document will be displayed just to the right of the navigation pane.

Step 3
Click to select the bookmark you want to change from the list of bookmarks that are now viewable.

Step 4
Choose the image, text or other object from the PDF that you would like to make the new location for the bookmark you just selected.

Step 5
Right click on top of the bookmark you have selected from the bookmark list and choose “Set Destination” from the pop up menu. You will receive a pop up box asking you to confirm the bookmark location change.
6.
Step 6
Highlight and click “Yes” to close the dialog box and confirm that you want to change the bookmark location. You have now changed the bookmark location. Anytime you use the bookmark, it will be taken to this new location.
