Step 1Launch IE6 and open the “Tools” menu. You will see a menu option labeled, “Delete Browsing History…”. Click this. A separate menu box will open that will feature several different options for deleting browser records.
Step 2Look at the “Delete Browsing History” menu box; it should have five different deletion options with buttons beside each one. Find the third option from the top, “History.” Click the “Delete History…” button beside it. This will allow you to delete all of the websites you have visited in IE6 from your browsing history.
Step 3Examine the other options in the “Delete Browsing History” menu box. Each option has a brief description beneath it of what records it will delete. Use these options to delete temporary Internet files created by your browsing, cookies placed on your computer by websites that you have visited, data that you have entered into forms on various websites and passwords that you might have asked IE6 to store for you. Click the appropriate buttons beside the items you wish to delete along with your browsing history.
Step 4Close the “Delete Browsing History” menu box. Should you wish to delete your IE6 browsing history or any other temporary data created or stored by IE6 while you browse the Internet in the future, you will be able to quickly erase it using the same technique.
