1.
Step 1
Start Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and open an existing PDF document that contains existing bookmarks to which you would like to set a bookmark action.
2.
Step 2
Select the “Bookmark” button from the navigation pane on the left side of the Acrobat screen. It is the second button from the top. After you have selected it, you will see a list of bookmarks set in the PDF document displayed just to the right of the navigation pane.
3.
Step 3
Right click on the bookmark from the displayed bookmark list to which you would like to add a bookmark action. Click to select “Properties” from the dropdown list to open the “Bookmark Properties” dialog box.
4.
Step 4
Choose the “Actions” tab from the top of the “Bookmark Properties” dialog box to display the bookmark action settings.
5.
Step 5
Pick a bookmark action from the “Select Action” dropdown list in the “Add an Action” section of the “Bookmark Properties” dialog box. This will be the action that is applied to the selected bookmark.
6.
Step 6
Click the “Add” button just below the “Select Action” dropdown list to open a dialog box that corresponds with the bookmark action you have chosen. Make the changes in this dialog box that you want to be applied to your chosen bookmark action.
7.
Step 7
Point and click on the “OK” button to close both dialog boxes and apply the selected action to your bookmark.
