Table of CSS named colors for SASS (editable for other languages)
CSS2 supports a limited number of named colors (16 of them) – all others have to be defined using their numeric RGB codes, which makes for ugly unreadable code. The table at the end of the page can be included in a SASS file to enable use of more descriptive color names. The table might be suitable for other languages too, with a little careful editing.
These color-names have been standardized in CSS3, and have been available for a long time in most major browsers, however their use has been discouraged because they are not part of the W3C standard. The CSS3 standard is not yet fully finalized, or implemented in all browsers.
