Linksys WRT310N Wireless Router Slowing Down Issue

  This is a very common issue for Linksys WRT310N router. You have several optoins:

  1. Return it and get a WRT610N instead.
  2. Contact Linksys and request a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and exchange for another one. Ask if they can give you a refurbished WRT610N instead which supposed to work better.
  3. If you have WRT310N v1.0 (only works with v1.0) and are brave enough, you can consider flushing your router with DD-WRT firmware. Be very careful if you decided to go this route.
  4. Be patient and wait for the next release of official Linksys firmware. Hopefully Linksys might fix it some day.
