Step1:Launch your Photoshop and open the image that you want to edit.
Step2:In your tool box, left-click mouse to select the “elliptical marquee” tool. With the “elliptical marquee” tool, hold down the left mouse button and drag the area on the image that you want for the effect. Release the left button after selecting your designated area on the image. The select area should now be activated.
If you want to erase the image background (other than the area that you’ve selected), right-click mouse on the image to bring up the drop-down menu and click “select inverse”. Next, go to “Edit”; on the top of your Photoshop menu bar. Click “cut” to eliminate the selected area on your image. The deleted background should turn transparent or white.
Step3:With the cursor on the image, right-click mouse and choose “select all” by clicking your left mouse button. The entire image is now selected.
Step4:After selecting the edit area, go to and click “Filter” on your top menu bar. On the drop-down menu, select “Distort”, then choose “Spherize…”.
Step5:In the “Spherize…” selection dialogue box, adjust the percentage that you would want your image to be distorted. For the image that I’m using, I use 133%. There is a “preview” on the left or top-left panel for you to see the finished image while adjusting the “spherize” percentage. Click “OK” to finish editing.
If you don’t like the result after the change, go to “Edit” on your Photoshop top menu bar. On the drop-down list, click “Undo” to cancel the last action. The image will revert to previous state; before the most recent edit.
Step6:Save your image using a different file name once you are satisfied with the result.
